Atlantic Union Bank Wins 2021 J.D. Power Award

We’re humbled to be recognized as a leader in the banking industry, winning the 2021 J.D. Power Award for #1 in Customer Satisfaction with Consumer Banking in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Atlantic Union Bank finished with the highest overall customer satisfaction score -- 854 out of 1000 points. The score is factored by how consumers rated us in convenience, communication and advice, product and fees, and channel activities. (The average score across banks operating in the region was 814, according to J.D. Power).

“We are beyond thrilled that our customers’ feel this way about us,” says Maria Tedesco, President of Atlantic Union Bank.

So how did a bank founded in a small Virginia rural county in 1902 with just $2,500 become who we are today -- the largest regional bank headquartered in Virginia? Through innovation, a strong sense of entrepreneurship and focused leadership, and never losing touch with our personal and business customers’ needs.  Advocating for them each and every day.

“This past year has been so challenging for so many, including our team,” adds Maria. “Throughout it all, we never lost focus on our customers’ needs and expectations. Our team came together to provide enhanced digital and virtual banking services to our customers at a time when they needed it the most, and I couldn’t be more proud.”

Now in its 16th year, The J.D. Power U.S. Retail Banking Satisfaction Study (SM) is one of the longest-running and most in-depth, independent surveys of retail banking customers available.
