Welcome, Charlie Mattox!

We're excited to welcome Charlie Mattox as our new Wholesale Banking Market President for the Greater Wilmington Area.

Charlie brings his over 20 years of banking experience to serve the clients of Atlantic Union Bank. He’s focused on working with businesses, municipalities and non-profits of all sizes to improve their financial outlook and achieve their unique goals.

After getting his undergraduate degree at Berry College and his MBA from Gardner-Webb University, Charlie completed the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Wharton to deepen his banking knowledge and skills. That way, he can put those skills to use to help his clients succeed. Being able to make commercial and small business loans that have a real impact for the businesses in the area and contribute to the economic prosperity of Wilmington and the surrounding areas is a passion of his. He’s excited to continue building his reputation as ‘the most responsive banker in the area’ as he works with his clients at Atlantic Union Bank.

As a board member of the Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Good Shepherd Center Campaign Advisory Committee, Charlie is deeply involved in contributing to his local community. He also loves to spend time with his family, and you can often find him on the sidelines of one of his kid’s various activities. Plus, he often takes his boat out to explore local islands and go fishing with his friends and family. We’re so excited to welcome Charlie to the Atlantic Union Bank family, and we know he will accomplish great things here!

Welcome to the team, Charlie!
