On September 15, 2024, Atlantic Union Bank (AUB) proudly participated as a first-time sponsor of VA PrideFest, held at the Bon Secours Training Center on Leigh Street in Richmond, VA. Spearheaded by the bank’s Employee Resource Group, AUBOut+Proud, the team not only organized, but also actively volunteered, throughout the day.
VA PrideFest, one of the largest LGBTQ+ celebrations in Central Virginia, attracts over 10,000 attendees annually. The event brings together a vibrant mix of performances, local vendors and food trucks, all in support of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.
Atlantic Union Bank stood proudly among numerous organizations, showcasing its commitment to diversity and inclusion. At the festival, AUB offered a hydration station, exciting giveaways and onsite support for attendees interested in opening new accounts. In addition, the bank provided an opportunity for festival-goers to donate to Side by Side, a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ youth.
