Federal Home Loan Bank’s Homebuyer Assistance Programs

Qualify for these funds based on either occupation or income level.

Qualified borrowers can make their hard-earned cash go further with assistance from Atlantic Union Bank


The Atlantic Union Bank Home Loans team may be able to help you realize the dream of being a homeowner. There are two grants available, designed for qualified borrowers who need extra assistance when buying a home.

For Qualified First-Time Homebuyers

  • Up to a $7,500 grant per household 
  • Homebuyer must contribute at least $1,000 toward the home purchase

For People Serving Our Local Communities

  • Up to a $10,000 grant per household for current or retired law enforcement officers, educators, health care workers, firefighters or other first-responders, veterans, active-duty members of the U.S. military or their surviving spouse and other essential workers
  • First-time and non-first-time homebuyers are eligible
  • Homebuyer must contribute at least $1,000 toward the home purchase

Funds available to qualified borrowers on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are depleted or the program ends.
