John Ockerman, CFA®

Bio

John brings over 15 years of financial services experience to Atlantic Union Bank Wealth Management.
He leads the development and management of pooled fixed-income funds and individually tailored cash
management solutions. John is an expert in short duration investment grade bond trading and portfolio
management.

Previously, John managed two commingled bond funds for municipal investors and served on the Board
of Directors of the Virginia College Savings Plan as designee for the Treasurer of Virginia. John holds a
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the College of William and Mary and the Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Away from work, John most enjoys spending time with his family. He makes pizza from scratch every
week and loves taking his kids fishing on Virginia’s public lakes and rivers. He’s also an award-winning
homebrewer.
