Bio

Amber Yates joined Sandy Spring Trust in 2024 after a decade of experience working as an attorney in numerous roles. She began her legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Calvert County Circuit Court before moving to a law firm where she practiced estate planning, estate administration and family law. Yates left private practice and joined the Department of Defense as a Special Agent and polygraph examiner. Amber returned to private practice in 2019, practicing real estate, estate planning and estate administration law. Amber holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Economics from Frostburg State University and a Juris Doctor from George Mason University School of Law. She lives in Huntingtown with her husband and three daughters and enjoys running and reading.
