Bio

With nearly three decades of experience in financial services, Andrew brings deep expertise in both taxable and tax-free income strategies, including equity security selection as well as portfolio construction. He manages client relationships across Southern Virginia and North Carolina.

He began his career in 1997, driven by a strong interest in the economy and financial markets, and pursued the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation early in his career. After earning the CFA® designation, Andrew advanced into portfolio management roles, where he has focused on implementing disciplined investment strategies aligned with client objectives.

Andrew is known for his thorough understanding of the securities markets and his ability to explain complex investment concepts in a clear, practical and approachable way. He believes the foundation of a strong client relationship starts with listening, asking thoughtful questions and gaining a deep understanding of each client’s goals, priorities and values.

Before joining Atlantic Union Bank, Andrew played a key role in growing a registered investment advisory firm from $50 million to more than $3 billion in assets under management over a 20-year period, serving as Chief Investment Officer for much of that time.

Andrew earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a minor in advertising from UNC’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Originally from Goldsboro, North Carolina, Andrew now resides in Greensboro. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, tennis, mountain biking, skiing, hiking and spending time outdoors with his family.
