Bio

For more than 30 years, Ellen has advised and worked with municipalities and private foundations, as well as a variety of nonprofit educational, religious, community, cultural and health care organizations.

Her creativity and attention to detail are appreciated by all with whom she works. Ellen’s coworkers will tell you that she has the resourcefulness and energy to take on all types of projects. For example, she helped establish Atlantic Union Bank’s Institutional Advisory Services in 2017. Ellen’s passion is to help municipal and nonprofit organizations realize the benefit of prudent investing and sound governance practices. She knows that the measure of success as an investment manager is directly related to a client’s success in achieving their financial goals and mission objectives.

Ellen also enjoys contributing her time and passion to her community. She has been on the governing boards of a number of charitable institutions and foundations and served as the board chair for the Medical College of Virginia Foundation (2021-2023), and as the board chair for The Richmond Forum (2022-2024). When she has time outside of work, she also works as a part-time indoor cycling and bootcamp instructor.
