Michael Buffington

Bio

Based in Kansas City, Missouri, Michael joined Atlantic Union Equipment Finance in 2023 as Regional Director of Sales – responsible for covering a territory in the Midwest.

Of his 20 years in financial services, all were spent in the Equipment Finance industry. Michael’s professional experience includes an extensive background in direct originations, credit/underwriting, deal structuring, portfolio acquisition and loan participations.

He has enjoyed a 20-year career prior to joining Atlantic Union Equipment Finance in direct origination roles with prior banks, most recently with NBH Bank – Capital Finance where he started a de novo equipment finance group specializing in various equipment types. Michael holds a degree in Finance from Xavier University in Cincinnati, and an MBA from Rockhurst University in Kansas City.
