Bio

Mitch York currently serves as Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director of Asset Management for Atlantic Union Bank Wealth Management. Mitch has a proven track record of growing wealth management organizations through investment and organizational leadership, business development, and product and service design and implementation. Mitch has an entrepreneurial mindset focused on delivering positive outcomes for clients through scalable, custom portfolio solutions and creative investment model management. 

Mitch believes clients know when they’re working with an experienced investment professional who truly cares about their success, and Mitch is just that. In his 25 years in the financial services industry, Mitch co-founded Wertz-York Capital Management in Tampa Bay, Florida, led the investment division at Edelman Financial Services and co-founded Concord Asset Management. He considers himself an expert in bonds, EFTs and asset allocation strategies. 

Mitch has an entrepreneurial spirit and is someone who thinks like a client but acts like an owner. Mitch holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University, a Master of Arts in Economics from University of South Florida and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. 

Mitch grew up in Richmond, Kentucky. After spending over 20 years in Tampa Bay, Florida, he returned to a city with a familiar name, Richmond, Virginia. When he isn’t working, Mitch enjoys the great outdoors, spending quality time with his family and University of Kentucky basketball (Go Wildcats!). He says if he could be anywhere in the world it would be on the beach in Turks and Caicos with his wife, Jamie.
