American K-9 Interdiction (AK9I), based in rural Carrsville, VA, trains dogs to do more than just sit, stay and fetch. Their trained canines are capable of supporting the military in battle, detecting bombs and narcotics, as well as being well-versed in other tasks such as safeguarding lives in high-risk situations and protecting personal property. AK9I also trains the military, law enforcement, and other handlers to manage these highly skilled animals.
When they wanted their business to grow, AK9I came to Atlantic Union Bank for help in securing a loan that enabled them to expand their operation. Because the demand for their training expertise was increasing, they needed more space for training facilities to accommodate their students (dogs and humans) who come from all over the country.
“We had the opportunity to purchase an additional property,” says Chief Operating Officer, Nigel Rhodes. “It allowed us to increase our veteran student training attendance and provide better services for them. We’re grateful to Atlantic Union Bank (AUB) for coming through for us.”
Now they do all of their business banking with us and are especially thankful for the ongoing support they receive from their AUB relationship managers, Heather Roberson and Paul Buckley.
