Atlantic Union Bank (AUB) recently wrapped up its inaugural Bank on Ending Hunger campaign with incredible results. When school meal programs pause for the summer, many families struggle to access affordable food. Bank On Ending Hunger is AUB's effort to lend a hand during this time, partnering with local food banks through the nonprofit hunger-relief organization Feed More to provide meals to those in need.
Between June 1 and August 31, AUB donated the equivalent of four meals to Feed More for every new checking account opened. Even though it was the inaugural year, Bank on Ending Hunger resulted in an incredible 48,000 donated meals.
Atlantic Union Bank and Feed More have a long history of partnership and Bank on Ending Hunger is the latest initiative to come from this relationship. With 100 employees, more than 380 distribution partners and 200 volunteers a day, Feed More collects, prepares and distributes food across 34 Central Virginia cities and counties.
