*$100 Referrer Bonus Offer. The person making the referral (the Referrer) will earn a $100 cash bonus for each Individual or Business referred to Atlantic Union Bank (AUB) that fulfills the requirements defined below (refer to Referred Bonus Offers). You must be at least 18 years old and have an active AUB personal checking account to participate. Registration and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions via the AUB Referral Center (AtlanticUnionBank.RoyalReferralCenter.com for personal accounts and  AtlanticUnionBankBusiness.RoyalReferralCenter.com for business accounts) is required. To make a referral, you must submit a valid email address and phone number for both yourself (as the Referrer) and each Referred Individual or Business.

A Referrer may only earn up to $500 per calendar year. Only one Referrer may receive a bonus for each Referred Individual or Business that fulfills the requirements (the first Referrer who enters information for a Referred Individual or Business will be the eligible Referrer).

Additional Gift Card Reward. Earn a $5 Starbucks Card for every ten (10) referrals made within the AUB Referral Center (limit: five (5) per calendar year). Each referral must be to a unique non-customer (name and/or email address). For example, a referral responding directly from an email or text referral communication will count as one (1) referral. The Starbucks Card will be delivered as a code to the Referrer’s email address provided.

Referred New Account Bonus Offers.  

The Referred Individual (the Referred). To earn a $100 cash bonus, you must open your first new eligible AUB personal checking account within 90 calendar days of receiving the referral email / text; and set up and receive qualifying direct deposits totaling $500 or more into your new eligible checking account within 60 calendar days of account opening.^1,2

The Referred Business (the Referred). To earn a $150 cash bonus, you must open your first new eligible AUB business checking account within 90 calendar days of receiving the referral email / text; and maintain an average balance of $1,000 or more during the first two statement periods after account opening.³

General Account Opening Terms. All eligible personal account owners and co-owners must be at least 18 years old and have not owned or co-owned an AUB personal checking account in the last 12 months. Eligible businesses cannot have owned an AUB business checking account in the last 12 months. Fiduciary, estate and trust accounts are not eligible to be opened as part of this program. The Referred must meet all applicable AUB eligibility requirements for opening the account. When the Referred opens their new eligible AUB checking account, they must provide the same email address and / or mobile phone number that received the referral email / text from the Referrer. 

*Interest Rate. Loyalty Checking, Preferred Checking, ThankU Checking and Flex Business Checking Plus are interest-bearing accounts. The annual percentage yield (APY) for Loyalty Checking and for ThankU Checking for balances $0-$2,499.99 is 0.01%; $2,500.00-$9,999.99, 0.02%; $10,000.00 or more, 0.03%. The APY for Preferred Checking for balances $0.00-$49,999.99 is 0.01%; $50,000.00-$249,999.99, 0.02%; $250,000.00-$499,999.99, 0.02%, $500,000.00-$999,999.99, 0.03%; $1,000,000.00 or more, 0.05%. The APY for Flex Business Checking Plus for all balances is 0.03%. Rates are subject to change without notice and after account opening. Rates may vary by location. Bonus Payment. A valid U.S Taxpayer Identification Number (Form W-9 for U.S. persons including a resident alien) or Employer Identification Number (EIN) is required. Bonus offer cannot be paid to non-resident aliens signing IRS Form W-8. The Referred acknowledges that the Bonus will be paid to the Referrer after all conditions have been met in the timeframes provided. The Referred only receives one bonus offer for opening an account and completing the requirements. The Bonus will be directly deposited into the appropriate AUB account; account must be open and in good standing up to the date the Bonus is deposited. Bonus will be deposited into the AUB checking account 4-6 weeks after all conditions have been met.

Example-personal account:

Bonus Forfeiture. Bonus forfeiture will occur if: (1) the new checking account is changed to an account type not included in this customer offer (2) the new checking account has a zero or negative balance or is restricted at the time AUB verifies the qualification requirements have been met or (3) the new checking account is closed at the time of payout. An account is considered restricted if it has a temporary or permanent block that prevents credits from posting to the account. AUB verification will occur one time after the qualification requirements are initially met. AUB reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any account if we suspect accounts are being opened for the purpose of exploiting this promotional offer.

Important Tax Information. The Bonus will be reported to the IRS as interest earned on IRS Form 1099-INT in the year received as required and recipient is responsible for any applicable taxes.

Important Privacy Notice. By participating in AUB’s Refer A Friend program, the Referred understands that the Referrer may know that you opened an account and met the qualifying criteria needed for each participant to receive the cash bonus. AUB will not disclose the identity of the individuals or businesses who have opened an account to the Referrer. You will need to notify your friend if you wish to make them aware that you have opened an account through the Refer A Friend program. 

As a Referrer in AUB’s Refer A Friend program, you understand that by registering at the AUB Refer A Friend site, you will be disclosing that you are a customer of AUB to the Referred Individual or Business.

Opt out. The Referrer authorizes the sending of communications to each Referred Individual or Business. The referral email may not be recovered if the Referred Individual or Business has “opted out” of marketing material from AUB or from the program itself. Each person who registers authorizes future communications, including emails regarding the program, unless they “opt out” by choosing the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the referral email.
