Dean Hackemer

Bio

In my career, I enjoy the challenge of aligning the interests of each of the groups I serve: our shareholders, our customers and our teammates. I’m driven by my passion for execution and efficiency. I believe that strong leadership with focused goal setting is key to creating a successful operation.

I have been in the banking business for over 30 years, with experience at Access National Bank and Mortgage Investment Corporation. I’ve held management positions in both the sales and production as well as operations.  I currently oversee all aspects of consumer lending for Atlantic Union Bank.

I graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in Economics. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.  I also spend time mentoring students at UVA.
