On April 11, we hosted a ribbon cutting for our newest branch in Woodbridge, VA, at 13794 Smoketown Road. This event featured speakers from Atlantic Union Bank, including John Asbury, CEO; Shawn O’Brien, Consumer and Business Bank Group Executive; and Eileen Parish, Branch Manager, as well as Marty Nohe, the Chairman of the Board of the Prince William County Chamber of Commerce. The speakers talked about the importance of this new location and how excited we are to be in the Woodbridge community.
Then, on April 12, we had a Backyard BBQ celebration at the branch with over 640 people in attendance. We had a great time, and we even gave a new gas grill to one lucky attendee. Plus, we cooked a bunch of hamburgers and hot dogs. It was a great day meeting all of our new neighbors! We're looking forward to keeping the good vibes coming as we will hold a drawing for a $500 grocery gift card every Friday through May 16.
In addition to providing personal banking solutions, Woodbridge is an important area along the I-95 and Route 1 corridor that is renowned for being home to small businesses – from family-owned shops to innovative start-ups – and it’s our mission to empower these enterprises with tailored banking solutions to foster growth and success. This new branch will support our goal of being more accessible to our customers, particularly those in the Northern Virginia area. With this new space in Woodbridge, we will also support community projects and foster educational initiatives for the local area.
We are looking forward to continuing to meet our neighbors and be a part of this area for years to come. We’re excited to help build a brighter financial future for this community.
